Sometimes with all the hustle and bustle of being a mommy , activities for our little ones can be reduced dramatically...Try incorporating adventurous learning trips into your daily activities. Below is a great idea to turn and average day into an adventure.

Nature Walk

Nature is all around you, taking a hike or walking down a nature path is not the only way to appreciate it's beauty. On your way to the grocery store take the scenic route. Point out and discuss birds, trees and flowers. Maybe even bring a baggie and make a quick stop to collect seeds, berries or even unique looking rocks. Try purchasing fresh fruit from the local fruit market and allowing your toddler to touch and smell the fruit which allows them to explore their senses.( A thought would be to bring a nature guide and compare possible things you spot while you re out). Then continue to the grocery and complete your adventure by allowing your child to pick a color and name as many things as possible that they see with that color.

Helping our children develop at this time is our responsibility, remember: they're only young once...make the most of it.
